Fans flock to the Rogers Centre concession stands and order multiple hot dogs at a time. It\u2019s more of an attraction than a promotion, and the popularity has produced some impressive numbers over the years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Many Loonie Dogs Are Sold?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, Blue Jays fans set a new single-season record for total Loonie Dogs purchased at Rogers Centre. Over all of the Loonie Dog nights in 2025, Jays fans ordered 826,308 hot dogs. This surpassed the previous record of 727,819 Loonie Dogs set in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re wondering, that works out to be an average of more than 80,000 per Loonie Dog Night. The total capacity for a sell-out at Rogers Centre is between 40,000 and 41,000 fans, so that means each fan accounts for two hot dogs each Loonie Dog Night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far in 2026, Jays fans have already set a new record. With two more Loonie Dog Games left, Jays fans have already bought 925,215 hot dogs. Could this be the year that the fans finally crack the one million hot dog mark?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Is the Loonie Dog Record?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, the fans set a single-game record when they purchased 102,202 hot dogs on a single Loonie Dog Night in April. It\u2019s no surprise that this promotion has been one of the most successful ballpark events in all of baseball. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is plenty of reason to believe the record could eventually be challenged again. The Blue Jays’ official 2026 promotion schedule shows that there are still two Loonie Dog Games left on the regular season schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the single-season record, 2026 will be a new one. The fans have already purchased 925,515 hot dogs, and if they can sell 80,000 for each of the games left, they will easily reach the one million mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
