While players will inevitably have to do a fair deal of scrambling at Muirfield Village, a \u201cspike\u201d week could absolutely allow a player with elite SG: APP and GIR to compete with the top of the board. To do so, a hot putter will be absolutely essential to bail them out of missed greens in regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 Memorial Tournament prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The bad news for the field is there is just one golfer who ranks Top-20 in all of the metrics I\u2019ve highlighted. He is, of course, World No. 1 Scheffler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite just a single win on the year to date, Scottie has clearly rounded into form since Augusta, finishing no worse than 3rd in five of his last six starts (with the lone exception being T14 at the PGA Championship). He\u2019s rightfully the standout favourite this week. All signs point toward a third straight win at Muirfield Village and the $4,000,000 first-place cheque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But a Scottie victory doesn\u2019t necessarily mean the end of your wager.
